Pool Advisories   MORNING LAP SWIM ADVISORY Posted 1-21-10   Due to the congestion in the large pool during the 5:30am-9:00am lap swim time slot, we are putting a new lap swim policy into place. EFFECTIVE: MONDAY, JANUARY 25, 2010 Each lane of the large pool will be assigned according to the pace of swimmers in that lane. From 5:30am to 6:30am the swim teams will be in 2 lanes and the remaining 4 lanes will be assigned by pace. After 6:30am, lanes 3 and 4 will be assigned a pace according to the demand at that time. If there is more than 1 swimmer that needs to swim in a lane, the swimmer in the lane will be required to share their lane and they may swim side-by-side. If a third swimmer needs to enter the lane then the swimmers in that lane will be required to CIRCLE SWIM so that no swimmer is denied the opportunity to lap swim. If you are unsure of where you should be swimming, please see the lifeguard on duty for assistance. The set-up of the pool for the 5:30am-6:30am time slot is illustrated on the Pool Info board located in the inner lobby by the Men’s and Women’s Locker Room entrances. At 6:30am the guard will assign lanes 3 and 4 accordingly. Posted at each lane will be a sign to inform you of the pace for that lane. Also posted on the board you will find additional information for those who will be new to this style of swimming. We thank you for your cooperation.
